At the moment I am offering a waiting list for clients who would like
therapy in Plymouth. If you would like to join this, please contact me
by email, so we can discuss your situation further on-line to see if I
am the right therapist for your needs.

It is important to feel comfortable with the therapist you work with. We understand that you may want to know a little more about us before deciding to work together.

Sue is a Mindfulness Based
Psychotherapist in training, completing her final year in clinical
training. She is a member of The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)
studying for an MA at the Karuna Institute. She is also a registered

From Sue

Welcome
to my page on the Devon Therapy Hub. I see life as a special journey of
discovery into our inner worlds, as well as the meaningful navigation
of our outer ones. I know that it is important to find the right
therapist to accompany you, building a relationship of trust, and
offering whole hearted awareness.

I have been helped enormously
in my personal journey by the simple, but profound, experience of being
with therapists and colleagues who are compassionately open to another’s
wellbeing. It has enabled me to listen to myself, and begin to follow
my own heart with a clearer mind.

My personal experience informs
my therapeutic practice. Mindfulness-based psychotherapy offers a wealth
of support which helps me understand and offer my clients what can lead
to inherent health and wholeness. I work in a process of collaborative
inquiry into the conditions in which they find themselves in the present
moment. From this deep awareness, people gradually find the right ways
ahead in their own journey. I offer clarity and joy in this process,
working within safe, professional boundaries which conform to the UK
Council for Psychotherapy’s Code of Ethics.

My aim is to work
alongside clients, responding to whatever is arising. I find people
process and find insight in different ways, so I like to offer a range
of interventions. These can include creative approaches as well as our
on-going dialogue about our inquiry.

I offer a free initial
session, so we can meet face to face to see if it feels right to work
together. I also discuss it with my supervisor after we have met. If it
feels right, I would then offer you six sessions at my trainee fee of
£35.00 each, with a review on the sixth to allow us to decide if working
together would be helpful for you. If we decide to continue then I
would work with you on an open ended basis with further reviews at
regular intervals. These sessions are generally held at the same day of
the week, at a regular time and place. I offer sessions in Plymouth and
Ivybridge.
